Innovative technologies

Some ideas have the potential to change everything. But this requires them to move out of the laboratory and into the world. That is why at EIFO we work to bridge the gap between research and business. Between knowledge and commercial reality.

  • We want to increase investments in deep tech

    Including quantum and AI.

  • New technologies need capital

We work purposefully to attract capital for early-stage technologies.

  • Denmark must be a leading life science hub

We are already well on our way, but we can become even better.

  • We want to increase investments in biosolutions

Danish biosolutions companies must have the capital and partnerships they need to grow – not only in Denmark, but internationally.

From research to businesses and technology to solutions

EIFO helps more groundbreaking ideas grow – and turn into companies with global ambitions. We do this by investing in technologies that require both patience and a willingness to take risks.

Denmark is already making strides in innovative technologies. AI, quantum technology, and life sciences are areas where we are strong but also have the potential to become leaders. The same applies to biosolutions, where we are intensifying investments while also working to build infrastructure for biomanufacturing, allowing Denmark to strengthen its leading position.

However, relatively few companies can on their own make the investments required to build, for example, supercomputers and AI gigafactories. That is why EIFO is a co-owner of Europe’s most powerful quantum computer, Magne, and Denmark’s first supercomputer, Gefion. This gives Danish businesses access to infrastructure that few others have.

At the same time, we help build new innovation environments such as Innovation District Copenhagen, and we work purposefully to make Denmark Europe’s life science hub.

The goal is clear: Research must be translated into businesses – and technology into the solutions of the future.
