The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) administers a number of special schemes on behalf of the Danish state.
We live in a changeable world and the special schemes allow us to adapt to the current market needs. The schemes are therefore often limited both in terms of timeframe and scale.
EIFO´s new Ukraine-scheme provides DKK 1 billion in the form of loans and guarantees for Danish companies who wish to contribute to the reconstruction of the war-torn country.
The aim of the scheme is to reduce the financial risks encountered by companies involving in Ukraine. The fund will primarily be reserved for reconstruction of critical infrastructure, i.e. supply of water, heat and electricity as well as Danish export of, among others, farm equipment.

Are you an electricity or gas company affected by increasing energy prices and having difficulties fulfilling the contracts you have entered regarding purchase and sale of electricity or gas?
With the introduction of a new guarantee scheme worth DKK 125 billion, the Danish state can guarantee 80% of new credit facilities required by electricity and gas companies who are facing increasing prices. Financial institutions will retain the remaining 20%. The scheme helps to protect the Danish electricity and gas market which allows your company to continue to ensure a stable energy supply in Denmark.
A guarantee offers coverage up to 5 years. Applications must be received by EIFO no later than 15 December 2023.

Apply for seed-funding for your sustainable export projects through EIFO’s Green Accelerator scheme, a scheme helping Danish projects with export potential into the world. The scheme makes sure that Danish companies can apply for seed funding if they encounter barriers in connection with their plans for a green export venture.
DKK 85 million has been allocated to the scheme covering services such as market research, legal advice, ESG compliance analysis and advice regarding patent applications which can help companies enter new markets.
In order to obtain support for a specific export project, an alliance between minimum two Danish companies must be formed and the export project must be related to the export of green Danish solutions.
